The music in that bottom video is pretty damn cool. And I'm not usually into that stuff. Plus, I REALLY have a positive regard for JP. :P (omg JP has referenced Jung and Dostoyevsky in less than five minutes <3)
But... For someone supposedly so intelligent... An all-meat diet? Because your daughter, who isn't a registered dietician/nutritionist, said it's good? ::Eye roll:: I heard him say, "all carbs are basically evil". It's statements like that that he should completely avoid. I know he's educated, but he's only human. It's weird to me that people worship him (and other mere humans). We are a society desperate for connection to a Higher Power.
I like JP, but I find him a bit "too" self-limiting. His debates with Slavoj Zizek were interesting, but Zizek ran circles around him in the scope and breadth of his arguments.
And yes, JP has his "groupies", which is indicative of your argument. People are confused, and looking for an order imposed from Above. The changes are happening just too rapidly. Technology has even replaced the face-to-face "social" in "social relations". Politics is dead. We're veering from crisis to crisis, re-acting to new technological developments instead of pro-acting and averting crises.

...and so the "black swans" keep coming.
