Having read your comments with Elbro, I am reminded that the love worth pursuing is eternal and always reciprocated. I believe this. Why then, am I so often not satisfied. (God, don't give up on me!)
I can only guess that the constant, irritating pull of old lovers is really that inner need to be seen and validated. And even when we are seen and validated, we lack a deeper connection to a spiritual source of love, and we try desperately to fill that void by loving strangers and past lovers. But that's just what they told me in rehab. Good times....

...and here's to our ever changing desires... the objet petit 'a pursued, yet n'er caught and the fear that lies at its' heart and "moves" us. ;p

I find myself often pulled by the nerves at the ends of my symptoms... for love, lovers, and lost loves.
