Thanksgiving was very stressful this year. My wife was diagnosed Stage 4 lung/liver/bone lymphatic/metastatic cancer about 3 weeks ago, so we've been having of lot of tests done. Fortunately, she's a 90% match for a targeted gene therapy drug... which we hope she'll be on tomorrow when the pills get here. Her medical oncologist is optimistic that she'll respond favorably, and could have a few good years provided she responds well.
So, needless to say, we cancelled out trip to Tennessee to visit our daughter, and she came up to see us, instead. My oldest son hosted an impromptu Thanksgiving dinner, and the kids all turned out to help clean/ re-arrange the bottom floor of our house so as to be more "patient friendly" (we live in a 4BR Colonial) and so we're setting up ground-floor 24/7 living space so she doesn't need to manage any stairways and making it easier to get her in and out of the house and accommodate visitors (if necessary).
So, nope, haven't been doing much reading, too many things are all up in the air.
And sorry for not saying anything earlier. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.
Oh friend, thank you for telling us. It sounds like there is a lot happening very quickly, and I can't imagine how overwhelming that is. I'm so sorry about the shocking diagnosis. You and your wife will be in my daily prayers.
So sorry to hear about it, fj. Hope she will respond favourably to the drug. It must be a very difficult time for you and the family. Please know that you are always there in our thoughts. Do take care.

Did you see the comment I ended up deleting? Why the Trump video?
Nope, didn't see it. And I thought Dance Monkey was a good book end to Cohen's "Dance me to the end of time..."
LOL yeah that's quite the contrast...
Did you have a good Thanksgiving?
Reading anything good lately?
