Secretly hiding beneath eyelids where no one can see,- RoseAnn V. Shawiak
my mind discovers and explores inner countries and
highways, giving me pictures to write from.
Exercises in spontaneous writing always fulfill my
inner spirit as I quickly find the words to describe
and explain what I see.
New ideas flow bountifully and send me into nether
worlds where only I am present.
Taking self-expression to another world, I gloriously
enjoy every moment I am alone and free to be myself.
But is it really "ME" that I express? Or the contents of the gap lying between me and the demands of an-"other"?

1. I don't remember this scene, so now I want to watch Midnight In Paris again.

3. This blog post, in itself, is a great question. But I don't think we're expressing the gap between ourselves. I don't know the answer, though. All I know, is that when I look around at my cameras, etc., I think that if I had the time (uninterrupted solitude), I could get a LOT done. And not for the sake of "getting it done", but to explore the things that come to my imagination (and take a new direction). I think there is much there, but there's no satisfaction in having an idea if you can't see it through, there's only frustration.
4. Sorry for the rant. I'm tired.
:)
Oh, and I meant to ask earlier.
What is your new avatar? A brick wall?
Thank you for your insights. I'm not sure of the answer either, but like you, feel a need to "symbolically" express them and then consciously explore the expressed content.
And no, my new avatar is supposed to represent "static"... in solidarity with my Venezuelan friends struggle for independence. And the link is in Spanish, the avatar, a "tactic" to help raise consciousness world-wide about their struggle. Unfortunately, it hasn't quite caught on. :(
More on our "self-expressive" voice and the notion of a "gap".
I'll join you!
Thanks! :)
It most likely won't make a difference, but I, and my friends, appreciate your support!
...one of my former schoolmates/friends. ;)
I couldn't help but do some "name dropping". Andres was a former economics minister, took the Venezuelan telephone company (CANTV) public on the NYSE, was CEO of the Caracas electric utility (Electricidad de Caracas), and is currently the CEO of AES. All of his Venezuelan interests were "nationalized" by the current regime.
And should that regime ever falter... Andres would make a pretty decent candidate for high office.
In other words, I care because its' "personal". Forty some years ago, he was my "bff".
His dad was Venezuelan, his mom, a New Yorker.
Wow. Thanks for sharing the back story. That's pretty amazing.
